Named after the legendary 17th-century Swedish flagship

The Kronan takes its name from one of the most legendary shipwrecks in Swedish history. Resting at the bottom of the Baltic Sea (Östersjön), the Stora Kronan was one of the most powerful ships ever to sail these waters and has been remarkably preserved for over 300 years.

Because of the Baltic’s unique brackish water, which lacks the organisms that usually destroy wood, the ship remains an underwater time capsule that divers can still visit today. We designed the Kronan diver to honor this; a watch built to explore the very depths where history remains frozen in time.

A heart made of recycled ocean plastic

At the heart of the Kronan is our commitment to protecting the oceans. The dial is crafted from #tide ocean plastic, a premium material made from 100% ocean-bound plastic waste. Collected from coastal areas and transformed using Swiss engineering, this material represents the evolution of sustainable efforts.

By repurposing plastic before it enters the deep sea, the Kronan serves as a functional reminder that time is of the essence in protecting our blue planet.

The Kronan is engineered for the explorer, boasting a professional 30 ATM (300m) water resistance. The 316L semi-brushed stainless steel case and link bracelet provide a structured yet refined feel, protected by a scratch-resistant flat sapphire glass.

One unique design hallmark for the Kronan is the unified canvas: the signature wave pattern on the dial flows seamlessly onto the bezel, creating a visually expanded field of view.
