A guide for the

Nevil Watch

A bestseller for 15 years, the Nevil is a masterclass in Swedish evergreen style. It is a piece designed to transcend fleeting trends, offering a perfectly balanced look that never fades.

Below is a compact guide to the watch. You can refer back to this whenever you need to check how to operate the piece.

1. Watch Specs

Case Size: 42 mm
Case Material: 316L Stainless Steel
Movement: Miyota GM12
Glass: Mineral Glass
Water Resistance: 10 ATM (100 Meters / 330 feet)
Glow in the dark: Yes, Superlume on hands
Lug width: 20 mm (in case you want to swap straps)

2. Water Resistance

This watch is water resistant up to 10 ATM and uses a screw-down crown, which must be fully tightened onto the case when worn. This ensures that the 10 ATM water resistance is upheld; if the crown is unscrewed the watch is not water resistant, keep it away from water.

To Close the Crown:

1. Remove the time stopper (the small plastic piece sitting between the crown and thread on new watches).

2. Gently push the crown toward the case until you feel it set or "sink" slightly.

3. While maintaining light pressure, screw the crown clockwise until it tightens onto the threads.

4. Screw the crown until you cannot screw it anymore. Do not use excessive force when tightening.

3. Using the crown

Always turn the crown gently and smoothly when performing any corrections/changes. Never use excessive force.

4. Setting time
  1. Unscrew the crown counterclockwise until it releases from the threads.

  2. Gently pull out the crown until you feel two consecutive clicks, this is the time changing setting.

  3. Carefully turn the crown clockwise/counterclockwise until the hands display the correct time.

5. Using the chronograph

The chronograph function serves as a built-in stopwatch, allowing you to measure elapsed time with tactile accuracy. This function is operated by the two pushers located above and below the crown.

  • To Start: Press the top pusher (2 o'clock). You will see the long sweep-second hand begin to move.

  • To Stop: Press the top pusher again to freeze the time. This allows you to read the elapsed seconds on the main dial and elapsed minutes on the left sub-dial.

  • To Reset: Once the chronograph is stopped, press the bottom pusher (4 o'clock). The hands will "fly back" to their zero positions.

5. Calibrating the Chronograph

On occasion, such as after a battery change or a heavy impact, you may find that the chronograph second hand does not return exactly to the 12 o'clock position when reset. This is easily adjusted manually:

  1. Unscrew the crown and pull it out to the second click (the time-setting position).

  2. Press the top pusher repeatedly (or hold it down) to move the chronograph second hand forward. Continue until the hand is perfectly aligned with the 12 o'clock marker.

  3. Once the hand is centered, push the crown back in and screw it down tightly.

  4. Your Nevil is now recalibrated and ready for use.

5. The right minidial

The right mini-dial displays your time in a 24-hour format, synchronized with the main hands. This acts as an AM/PM indicator, helping you distinguish between day and night.

Now you are in tune with how to operate the watch. We hope you bring it with you on many days to come! Best Wishes, TRIWA Team
