2010

Tärnsjö Garveri

Beginning in 2010, TRIWA established an integral partnership with Tärnsjö Garveri, one of the remaining 5% of tanneries worldwide that still employs traditional, 100% vegetable tanning methods using bark extracts and water. Starting with TRIWA’s iconic Nevil chronographs, this relationship became foundational to the brand's commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability.

Sourced from local Swedish farms, each strap is completely free from heavy metals and synthetic coatings, developing a supple texture and deep, natural character over time. More than a supplier relationship, the collaboration with Tärnsjö solidified TRIWA’s identity as a purveyor of responsible, locally anchored Nordic design.

STORM

2014

STORM

Originating in 2014, TRIWA partnered with Rasmus Storm, owner and curator of the iconic Copenhagen concept store STORM, to push the boundaries of monochromatic watch design. The resulting "Sort of Black" series was an artistic experiment dissecting the subtleties and textures of black as a design medium rather than merely a color.

By playing with matte, brushed, and gloss finishes, the collection brought depth and legibility to tone-on-tone dials, complemented by signature gold-tipped hands and custom straps crafted from Swedish Tärnsjö leather. The project later culminated in the luxurious "Sort of Black Gold" collection, cementing its place as a milestone in Scandinavian design collaborations.

Skultuna

2015

Skultuna

In 2015, TRIWA joined forces with Skultuna, one of the world’s oldest brass foundries established by King Karl IX in 1607. The collaboration set out to bridge four centuries of traditional Swedish metal craftsmanship with contemporary Scandinavian watchmaking. Housed in a raw, untreated brass case and powered by an automatic Japanese Miyota movement, the timepiece was engineered to evolve with its owner.

Over months and years of wear, the untreated brass oxidizes to develop an authentic, completely individual patina. Following the instant sell-out of the original 200-piece limited run, the partnership continued through acclaimed iterations like Skultuna II and Skultuna 3.0, standing as a benchmark for authentic material-led design.

STAMPD

2016

STAMPD

Released in the autumn of 2016, this collaboration saw TRIWA team up with Chris Stamp, founder of the influential Los Angeles streetwear label STAMPD. Fusing Stockholm’s clean architectural lines with Southern California’s edgy street culture, the limited-edition piece delivered an unapologetic study in monochrome minimalism.

The design stripped the classic dive watch down to its raw utilitarian core, presenting two distinct executions: a razor-sharp all-black variant and a pristine stark white edition. Featuring minimalist dials, refined textural contrasts, and subtle dual-branding, the project captured Stamp’s signature "avantstreet" luxury and introduced a bold, modern edge to the TRIWA lineup.

Humanium

2018

Humanium

In 2018, TRIWA launched a landmark collaboration with the Humanium Metal Initiative to transform illegal firearms into symbols of peace. Through this partnership, confiscated weapons from conflict-torn regions were melted down and repurposed into high-quality watches made of Humanium Metal. The Humanium Metal initiative has successfully facilitated the destruction of over 12,000 firearms.

A portion of the proceeds from every watch sold was donated to IM Sweden's Development Partner to support victims of armed violence and rebuild societies affected by conflict. By turning a destructive force into a functional tool for change.

Sergio Tacchini

2019

Sergio Tacchini

In late 2019, TRIWA embraced heritage athletic style through a partnership with the historic Italian tennis brand Sergio Tacchini. Rooted in the golden era of 1980s court culture, the collaboration celebrated Tacchini’s legacy of breaking tennis dress codes with bold palettes.

TRIWA translated this sporting energy into a series of vivid chronographs featuring iconic retro color-blocking, navy-and-red accents, and graphic indices. Merging Mediterranean sporting flair with clean Nordic timekeeping, the collection brought vibrant court nostalgia into contemporary urban streetwear.

Sea Shepherd

2020

Sea Shepherd

Since 2020, TRIWA has partnered with Sea Shepherd to support their direct-action missions against illegal fishing and marine habitat destruction. Through the "Time for Oceans" initiative, TRIWA creates watches made from recycled ocean plastic, with 22% of the sales donated directly to Sea Shepherd's global fleet.

These funds totaling over €60,000 thus far help keep ships at sea to protect marine wildlife and remove dangerous ghost nets. This collaboration turns recycled waste into a tool for environmental activism by funding the urgent work of safeguarding our oceans.

SSAB

2022

SSAB

In 2022, TRIWA partnered with SSAB, the Nordics' largest steel producer and a global leader in high-strength steel, to create the world's first consumer product made from fossil-free steel. This "Time for Decarbonization" initiative addresses the steel industry's 7% contribution to global carbon emissions by utilizing revolutionary HYBRIT technology to replace coking coal with fossil-free hydrogen. Each watch case is crafted from fossil-free steel powder from SSAB Oxelösund, featuring an industrial design inspired by raw steel production.

By showcasing this material in a commercial timepiece, both brands aim to prove that fossil-free alternatives are viable today and inspire a shift toward a carbon-neutral future. This collaboration demonstrates how even the largest traditional industries can be transformed through bold action and purposeful sustainable innovation.

Non-Violence

2026

Non-Violence

In the beginning of 2026, TRIWA and The Non-Violence Project (NVP) joined forces to launch the "Norrsken" watch. A timepiece designed to turn the aesthetics of conflict into a manifesto for peace. Crafted by a rugged craftsman, this watch uses a rough look, a revolver-chamber crown, and signal red details to build an intensity that demands attention, directing focus towards the piece's peaceful message.

The partnership is rooted in Non-Violence's evergreen mission to combat violence in all its forms, a mission that TRIWA, through this collaboration, has become part of. The impact of the Norrsken watch extends far beyond the wrist: a portion of all watch sales is directly donated to Non-Violence and is used to fund their educational programs. These programs empower the next generation with conflict resolution skills and empathy training, helping them choose non-violence in their lives.

With NVP aiming to have educated 20 million people by 2030, wearing the Norrsken is a commitment to a future where strength is defined by composure rather than violence.
